Fit & Measurement
You will receive a link that opens directly on your phone. The tool guides you through each step: two photos of yourself — front and side — in fitted clothing. Good light and a plain background are all you need. The AI tool captures approximately 80 body measurements, creating a precise digital model of your body within minutes. No tape measure, no appointment, no leaving home. Your measurements are saved to your personal profile and used for every future order. Before anything goes into production, Antje reviews every measurement set personally to ensure accuracy.
The technology captures 80 measurements with a precision that matches — and in some cases exceeds — what a manual tape measure achieves, because it measures all points simultaneously without the variability of human hand placement. Antje Bleek brings 15 years of menswear tailoring experience to the review process; she cross-checks the data before any pattern is cut. The combination of AI precision and expert human review is what makes online made-to-measure genuinely possible.
If you have very specific proportions — unusually long arms, for example — we recommend dropping us a note before you order. It takes one email and allows us to account for it from the start.
Bodies change — that is the reality of being human, and one of the reasons Novem exists. If your measurements change significantly between orders, you simply retake your scan before placing a new order. The process takes under five minutes and your profile updates automatically. Each garment is made to your measurements at the time of that order.
Yes. This is precisely the problem Novem was built to solve. The AI tool captures asymmetry and proportional differences that standard sizing completely ignores. A different trouser waist and hip ratio, varying sleeve lengths, a higher shoulder — these are not fit problems, they are your body, and the pattern is engineered to reflect them. If you have specific concerns, book a virtual consultation and Antje will address it directly.
Ready-to-wear is produced in fixed sizes based on average proportions — you adapt to the garment. Traditional bespoke is built entirely from scratch, requires multiple in-person fittings, and typically starts from €3,000.
Made-to-measure sits between the two: a base pattern is adjusted to your individual measurements before production begins, giving you an individual garment built for your body without the time or cost of full bespoke. At Novem, a made-to-measure suit starts at €750.
There is no typical suit body — that is a fiction created by standardised sizing. Novem's patterns are engineered from your specific measurements, which means the garment is built around your proportions rather than a sample size. Women who are petite, tall, curvy, straight, post-pregnancy, or at any stage of body change have found that made-to-measure is the only category of clothing that genuinely fits.
The Product
Novem's range runs from €260 to €1,050, depending on the garment type and collection. Foundation and Motion pieces are priced for regular professional use. Presence pieces reflect the Italian luxury fabric and construction quality. Every garment — at every price point — is made to your individual measurements, with no additional tailoring charges.
The Power Blazer is Novem's signature piece — a precisely structured blazer that functions as the foundation of a professional wardrobe. It is designed to do what tailored blazers have always done for men: communicate authority without effort, fit across different body proportions, and work across a full range of professional contexts. Made to your exact measurements, in your chosen collection fabric.
Fabrics are selected for how they perform across a professional woman's actual day. Foundation and Presence are made in high-quality suiting fabrics — 100% Virgin Wool, or 97% Virgin Wool with 3% Elastane for ease of movement — ranging from Super 110'S to Super 130'S fineness. Presence uses exclusively Italian cloth from Vitale Barberis Canonico in Biella, one of the most respected fabric mills in the world and historically the preserve of menswear tailoring. Motion is constructed in high-performance polyamide and spandex — wrinkle-recovery, breathable, and engineered to move with you through long days and across time zones. All production is carried out by Dayang Group, certified to SA8000 ethical manufacturing standards.
Foundation is the everyday wardrobe anchor — precise tailoring in reliable fabrics for daily professional wear. Motion is engineered for travel and performance: wrinkle-resistant, breathable technical fabrics woven in Italy by TG di Fabio. Presence is made in Italian luxury fabrics for moments where authority and visibility matter most — a board meeting, a keynote, a significant first impression. Many customers start with Foundation and add Motion for travel.
Ordering & Process
1. Take your measurements — using the AI tool on your phone, at home, in under five minutes.
2. Choose your garment and collection — browse the website or book a virtual consultation.
3. Antje reviews your measurements personally and creates your style before production begins.
4. Your garment is made on demand — nothing sits in warehouse stock.
5. Your garment arrives to your door, ready to wear. No fitting appointment needed (but virtually possible).
Because each garment is made individually for you after your order is placed, production takes longer than buying from stock. You can expect your garment within 5-6 weeks from order confirmation. If you have a specific event or deadline, contact us before ordering and we will advise honestly on timing. We can arrange express production for an additional charge.
Yes — and we encourage it, especially for your first order. Virtual consultations with Antje are free. You can discuss which collection suits your professional life, talk through any fit concerns, and ask questions you would not normally be able to ask a brand.
Beyond the collections, a consultation is also the place to go further — exploring design options outside the online range and creating something that is entirely your own. Book directly through the website.
Yes. Customisation options are part of what made-to-measure means — not just a fit that is yours, but a garment built to your preferences. Detail options vary by garment and collection. The consultation is the best place to explore what is possible for your specific order. If you have a specific request in mind, you are also welcome to reach out by email and we will take it from there.
Because each garment is made to your measurements — and those measurements are reviewed before production — the vast majority of orders fit well from the first wear. If there is an issue, contact us immediately. We take fit seriously as a craft commitment, not just a commercial one, and we will work with you to resolve it.
About Novem
Novem was founded by Antje Bleek, who spent 15 years in menswear formalwear — an apprenticeship at Jil Sander, senior design at Calvin Klein, and leading the menswear formalwear division at Hugo Boss. She built precision tailoring for men her entire career and could not access that same quality herself. After having a child, and experiencing how much harder an already inadequate women's tailoring market became, she built what should already have existed. Novem is the answer to a question women in professional life have been asking for too long.
Made-to-measure has been a menswear concept for centuries. The assumption — largely unspoken — was that precision fit was a professional man's requirement. Women's fashion invested in trend, volume, and versatility instead. The result is a professional category that has never truly been built for women's bodies, professional lives, or expectations of quality. Online made-to-measure for women essentially does not exist. Novem is built specifically to change that.
We think about this carefully and we are honest about what we are. Every garment is made on demand — nothing is produced before it is ordered. In an industry where overproduction is the single largest driver of environmental damage, that is not a small thing. No overstock, no unsold inventory, no waste.
The materials matter too. Wool — used across Foundation and Presence — is by nature a biodegradable, renewable fibre. The polyamide in our Motion collection is recycled. Our garments are produced by Dalian Dayang Trands, China's leading suit manufacturer and a publicly listed company with documented quality and ethical manufacturing standards. Presence fabrics come from Vitale Barberis Canonico in Biella — a mill running on 100% renewable electricity, certified to ISO 14001 environmental management standards, and holding both the Global Recycled Standard and Woolmark certification. These are not marketing claims. They are independently verified commitments from partners we chose deliberately.
The garments are designed to be worn for years, not seasons. If you have questions about our materials or production, you are welcome to reach out directly at info@novemstudio.eu.
Yes. Novem works with companies who want to offer their professional women a proper, considered dress code — not a uniform, but a wardrobe framework. This is particularly relevant for leadership teams, client-facing professionals, and companies making a deliberate statement about how they value and present their people. Women are our core focus, and our collections are built around them. For B2B clients who also need to accommodate men, we can extend to menswear suiting on request. Contact us directly to discuss what works for your organisation: info@novemstudio.eu.
Yes. Your measurement profile is stored securely, used only for the production of your garments, and is never shared with third parties. The AI measurement tool operates under its own privacy policy, available to review before you begin. If you have specific questions about data handling, contact us directly and we will answer them clearly.
The Novem Circle is our community — professional women who wear Novem and who are invited into a closer relationship with the brand. Members receive early access to new collections, invitations to Salon Evenings and private events, and the opportunity to be part of the Life Series. If you are interested, reach out or ask at your next consultation.
